Leyla says, “We got on so well and both wanted the same things from life. He was persistent, so I think that’s what helped to move things along!” Leyla had her suspicions that Richard was planning to propose, as she’d found the ring receipt in a draw under the bed. It was the day after her birthday, and the couple were on holiday in Sardinia, when he popped the question on a private beach. Leyla remembers, “Lit candles lead the way from the villa’s entrance to the bedroom, and on the bed, rose petals spelled out ‘will you marry me?’” Much to Richard’s delight she accepted and they spent the rest of the evening on the beach watching the moonlight on the ocean. The pair found the venue of their dreams in the shape of The Orangery, Maidstone. Leyla explains, “It has beautiful grounds that guests could feel free to explore, without being restricted to one room. Plus, we love the outdoors and nature, so it was perfect. The inside was lovely, with a classy feel and neutral decoration, so it provided the ideal canvas for expressing our colour theme.” Here, the bride gives her account of 29 th August, 2019 – W-day…  REAL WEDDINGS
