Your Kent Wedding - May/June 2020 (Issue 90)

ASK THE EXPERTS 113 Q&A Hair stylist Suzy Stockwin and make-up artist Kelli Waldock worked together on this local shoot to showcase a fresh, cool bridal beauty trend for 2020 BRONZED GODDESS Kelli says: Model Ellie’s glowing, bronzed goddess, bridal make-up captures her sun-kissed skin perfectly for a beach wedding. I used a light spray of Airbase airbrushing foundation to give her skin a flawless, but natural look. Soft golden bronze eyeshadow framed her blue eyes beautifully - it was delicately applied all over the lid and underneath the bottom lashes to really make them pop. They were finished with soft, wispy strip lashes to give definition. A warm bronzer brought contour to her cheekbones along with a peachy blush, which had a gold shimmer to it, giving her complexion that sun-kissed bronzed glow. The look is finished with a natural lipstick, containing a hint of shimmer, perfect for day and night. BOHO BABE Suzy says: This bridal beach braid is perfect for a relaxed wedding look. Braids reigned supreme at the 2019 bridal shows, and are sure to be a big hit again this year. To make the look a little more bridal I added flowers and pearls, to really make the hair pop. The style was created by working up the head, braiding sections and letting them overlap. Nothing is pulled tight and everything is kept loose, secured with pins where needed. THE HEIGHT OF SOPHISTICATION Kelli says: The make-up look for model Sarah was elegant, and easily adaptable from day to night. I began once more using an Airbase airbrushing foundation for the base to give her a flawless, even complexion. Then for a modern twist, I used warm pink tones for her eyes with a slight shimmer to catch the light, and lashings of mascara to add depth and length. A soft pink blusher added colour and definition to her cheekbones, and the look was finished with lipstick in a similar subtle hue. Beauty
