Your Kent Wedding - Jan/Feb 2020 (Issue 88)

65 REGIONAL SHOOT S hot at the beautiful Kingsdown Rectory in the heart of the Kent countryside, this classy shoot exudes romance and showcases ideas easily adaptable for the modern-day couple. With a rich colour palette of burgundy and dusky rose, as well as tweed and lace textures, it gives a nod to the burgeoning trend for all things vintage, while simultaneously feeling unflinchingly current. Stylist and wedding planner Sam Beadle of Flutterbee Me Events says, “I wanted to bring the wow factor to this shoot, and had been looking at various options for our ceremony layout. That’s when we created the ceremony circle. It’s a stunning setup, and looks incredibly powerful from the birds-eye view provided by our drone photography.” Fellow shoot co-ordinator and make-up artist Lara James commented, “My aim was to combine the romance of a vintage-themed wedding with a fresh make-up look. Using the 1900s as my starting point, I switched up the black eye kohl typical of the era, and curated a softer look using the pinks of our palette.” Love and nostalgia in the heart of Kent Images courtesy of Michael Newington Gray Photography  Vintage romance
