Your Kent Wedding - Sep/Oct 2019 (Issue 76)

Our honeymoon was the trip of a lifetime. We waited until six months after the wedding, allowing us more time to save up. Luckily, we both managed to get a month off work and went to Peru and Chile. We did the five-day Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu in Peru and in Chile visited the Atacama Desert, Torres Del Paine in Patagonia and the wineries outside of Santiago. We really didn’t want it to end! It was such a beautiful setting that we didn’t need more entertainment than that. Everyone stayed on the beach until after 10pm – they all looked so relaxed, like they were on holiday. KATRINA’S WEDDING WISDOM ❤ Have faith in all of your suppliers. They really do know what they’re doing. ❤ Get somebody to put food aside for you. You won’t realise how hungry you are until you get back to your room and kick off the dancing shoes! When our DJ, Ian, came to us to tell us it was time to go inside for the first dance, the last thing we wanted to do was to drag everyone inside to watch, so we said we’d just scrap it. He suggested he bring the speakers outside so that we could have our first dance on the beach instead. Apparently, it was the first time this had happened at East Quay, and the photos were incredible. 50
