Funky soul band Project F played in the evening. We’re their biggest fans! They’re a six-piece band from Margate and had played at our engagement party as well. The dancefloor wasn’t empty for a single moment. We were both a little anxious during the buildup to the ceremony. I was thinking about all of the suppliers, while James kept going over the speech in his head. We were both worried about the weather! But the moment I walked down the aisle and saw James waiting for me, every little worry I’d had just slipped away. Our guests had a choice of two options for their meal, which was provided by Kitchen of Kent. The food was delicious, and many said it was the best wedding food they’d tasted! We chose a four-tier cake with one fake tier for extra height. My favourite – Victoria sponge – was accompanied by layers of raspberry flavour and red velvet. 48
