Your Kent Wedding - September/October 2025 (Issue 122)

To get the party started, Fran and Andy opted for tequila and limoncello shots, displayed on a board for guests to help themselves to. The guests could then make their way over to one of the long banquet tables, which all stemmed from the head table for the bride, groom, and three children. The reception area was adorned with linen table runners, candles, and eucalyptus to bring the whole event together. For flowers, Fran and Andy chose pampas, cream roses, eucalyptus, and gypsophila. Fran adds, “our special day was highlighted with fairylights and wooden lanterns! The cosy atmosphere this created was perfect, and we rounded this off with a basket full of blankets and flipflops (for when the inevitable heel pain kicks in).” Fran wore a dress that she wanted to emanate fresh, smart, and fashionable, which we believe she nailed! Andy wore a navy-blue suit from Charles Tyrwhitt, which paired perfectly with the fashionable aura this couple was oozing. Fran’s bridesmaids all wore olive green dresses, in varying styles, to highlight the green tones set by the eucalyptus – a super classy colour choice. Guests were treated to a range of entertainment, starting with a singer and acoustic guitar player, followed by a magician, and ended with a DJ who kept the party pumping for the rest of the night. Fran adds, “Perhaps we got the dancefloor grooving too much, because on the night we had an accident. Someone was dancing so much, they jumped and broke someone else’s toe, by accident of course!” 38
