Everyone was so happy, especially as it was the first event people had been to in over a year.” – Jess We had Sunday lunch in the marquee th e following day and our cake maker mad e a delicious chocolate brownie creation es pecially for the occasion. We had flowers in wooden boxes all alo ng the table, spilling out and overflowing so it looked like a continuous centrepiece. Our semi-naked citrus cake had a passion fruit and mascarpone filling and was decorated with flowers to match the bouquets. Sam’s brother played jazz on the piano during the drinks reception. We used barrels for the pedestals and other flower arrangements and had lights hanging from the ceiling and along the river. We also had flowers hanging down from the walls of the marquee which created an incredible effect. 40
