Your Hampshire and Dorset Wedding - March/April 2021 (Issue 85)

The bridesmaids’ Maya blush pink dresses complemented the colour scheme perfectly. My Morilee Blu gown was the second dress I bou ght. as I’d lost three stone since getting the original one. I wanted to loo k for something more fitting after shedding the weight and it was the firs t one I tried on. It was perfect, understated yet still special, with a beautif ul low back which we embellished with a beaded chain. Dave and his groomsmen looked smart in burgundy French Connection suits with matching ties. Dave also wore a waistcoat and had braces to match my six-year-old nephew who was the ring bearer. Walking down the aisle I felt like my heart was g oing to burst, it was incredibly emotional and there were a lot of h appy tears! We looked at about six venues before visiting Gorwell Farm and we knew instantly that it was the one. The landscape is beautiful, there’s the option for an indoor or outdoor ceremony, the barn is stunning and it ticked all our boxes. My flower crown, the buttonholes and bridesmaids’ hair clips were all made from dried flowers due to the wedding being so last minute. The on-site cottages were a real bonus and meant our close friends and family were able to stay the night before and after the wedding. 32
