 Alexandra Bishop started her bespoke cake and catering company almost six years ago after training as a professional chef and pastry chef. Based in Netley Abbey, Southampton The Pastry Corner has since gone from strength to strength. She says, “We love every celebration we cater for, but weddings have to be our favourite. Being asked to be a part of a couple’s big day is so special and means the world to us.” All their cakes are one-offs, made to each couple’s individual requirements. “We arrange a cake-tasting and consultation afternoon, they get to sit and enjoy cake, while we chat all things wedding with them in order to create the design for their dream cake,” explains Alexandra. Designed to not only look good, but taste great too, there are more than 70 different delicious flavours to choose from with raspberry and white chocolate, passion fruit and coconut, lemon and elderflower and tropical carrot cake, among the most popular.
