Your Hampshire and Dorset Wedding - May/June 2020 (Issue 80)

We felt like the ceremony was really personal to us, which was very important. Everyone was smiling throughout and joined in the hymns too. We loved Kingston Country Courtyard from the moment we saw it. The wedding team was lovely, plus there was plenty of accommodation, which we needed as lots of our guests were travelling from far and wide. I tried on 60 dresses before choosing my beautiful A-line White One wedding gown. Bea at Minster Bridal added a sparkly belt and a lovely cathedral- length train with lace edging that matched the lace on the dress. I felt like a million dollars! The Happy Blossoms in Poundbury supplied all the gorgeous flowers for the church and the centrepieces and also created the bouquets. They were exactly what I wanted, they looked fresh and modern but still fairly traditional and the ribbons added an extra romantic touch. The barn is beautiful in its own right but I was keen to make our wedding really personal and we were able to decorate it however we wanted. We had a lovely burgundy and cream vintage Rolls-Royce. It did several trips from my parents’ house to the church and took Tom and I to the reception after the ceremony. One of Tom’s stipulations was to be able to have his own choice of beer behind the bar – he and his friends are very into their craft beer so this was really important. 38
