Your Hampshire & Dorset Wedding - Nov/Dec 2019 (Issue 77)

46 C aitlin and Tim Whyatt got together through an online dating site and bonded over their shared love of food, climbing, festivals and music. The meeting point for their first date was a bench on Alum Chine clifftops in Bournemouth; the spot where Tim later chose to propose. “We’d picked a ring and I popped the question at the place where we met. Like our first date it was perfectly natural and thankfully, she said ‘yes’!” says Tim. They tied the knot at Warmwell House in Dorset on 18 th May, 2019. Read on for their account of the big day... “We wanted a venue where we could host our whole celebration with no travelling for our family and friends.” I wore an off-white Alan Hannah gown with gold floral detailing. I chose it because the shape was really flattering and it was different to what was trending at the time. I chose a blue tweed suit by Marc Darcy with a beige waistcoat. My nephew George had a matching outfit but with a blue waistcoat and my best man Harry had a light blue one. “I wore my nanny Audrey’s diamond stud earrings, to have something of hers with me on the day, my mum’s gold bracelet as my something borrowed and two little blue fabric flowers in my hair.”
