REAL WEDDINGS 33  A summer romance turned into a long-distance relationship for Jenna and Tim. They met in Tim’s home town of Weymouth in 2010 and hit it off straight away. Even though Jenna lived in the Midlands, they were both determined to make it work. “We spent the next seven years travelling the 400-mile round trip at weekends to spend time together,” says Jenna. “We were both constantly on our phones calling each other while we were apart before finally moving in together in 2018.” POPPING THE QUESTION Tim proposed on a bridge in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve while they were on holiday in Costa Rica. He arranged it all in secret, with the help of the tour guide, who kept the coast clear for the big moment. “It was the longest and tallest bridge in the forest and when we reached the middle, as I was taking pictures of the view, I turned around to find Tim down on one knee,” recalls Jenna. “It was beautiful and the guide took some photos to capture the moment.” SETTING THE SCENE Once the venue hunt began and they saw Kingston Maurward it was love at first sight. “Not only is the house beautiful, but the elegant grounds and gardens are stunning too. We knew it was the one straight away and didn’t even look or consider anywhere else,” explains Jenna. “Inside and out, the setting was perfect with amazing scenery.” They opted for a classic white wedding theme with special personal touches. LOOKING THE PART Jenna and her dad travelled to the church in a blue and white Campervan, beautifully turned out with roses and white ribbon. Jenna looked stunning in Perseus by Sophia Tolli, a strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline. “As I’m not very tall, I didn’t want anything that would drown me but I still wanted the princess effect. The A-line design, with the lace and diamanté were all it needed and the train flowed beautifully.” She completed the look with a sparkly two-tiered cathedral-length veil and a tiara. Tim and his groomsmen all wore classic three-piece dark grey suits with ivory ties.
