Marshwood Manor, Bridport 01308 867 440 | marshwoodmanor.co.uk This outdoor venue is a newcomer to the Dorset wedding scene and oozes romantic charm. Perfect for couples looking for a laid-back vibe with the freedom to stay over and make the most of the glorious setting. With two licensed spaces available you can tie the knot in the barn, joined by 120 loved ones, or the magical Woodland Bower in the ancient woodland glade, surrounded by nature. Complete with cosy lounge bar and an enclosed courtyard, the barn is the perfect place to party. With exclusive use of 18 acres of woodland, meadow and lawns, there’s no shortage of fabulous photo opportunities and the on-site cottages can accommodate up to 32 guests with glamping for a further 50. We love... the venue’s #nothingnew policy using secondhand, vintage, repurposed and reused materials throughout the build and decorations including fallen trees from their own woodland for the interiors. Portsmouth Museum 02392 834 737 | portsmouthmuseums.co.uk Built in 1880 this historic venue is a local landmark in Portsmouth. One of the city’s largest wedding venues, the French chateau-inspired architecture provides a stunning backdrop for your ‘I dos’. Conveniently located between Southsea seafront and Old Portsmouth, the museum is set in spacious grounds with a beautiful garden and parking for family and friends. The first-floor Esther Room, home to the museum’s romance collection, is a fabulous setting for intimate wedding ceremonies with up to 56 guests. The elegant space boasts a stunning 17 th -century fireplace with furniture and paintings from the museum’s collections. Although reception facilities aren’t available, there is the option for canapés and champagne post-vows. We love... the museum’s turrets and landscaped gardens, complete with maze; perfect for a magical fairytale wedding. Nathalie Amagat Nathalie Amagat 28
