REAL WEDDINGS 49  THE PERSONAL TOUCH Flickering candlelight helped create the perfect romantic feel. “We chose tall candelabra for the centrepieces decorated with red and champagne coloured flowers and used as many candles as possible to add to the atmosphere. We also had lanterns around the room and a beautiful floral fireplace arrangement,” says Jemma. The table plan was made from a large traditional canvas with Edwardian-style script in keeping with the historic venue and the tables were named after the trees surrounding Rhinefield House. Guests had personalised crackers as favours, which doubled up as place names, along with little thank you notes. The bridesmaids were given champagne organza bags filled with special chocolates and picture keyrings as keepsakes. Their naked cake was a big hit. “We went for three tiers; vanilla and strawberry, white chocolate and raspberry and chocolate orange. The whole lot was eaten and it was delicious. We also had 100 mini cupcakes.” TIME TO CELEBRATE “A saxophonist played during the ceremony and throughout the day, then in the evening we had a band followed by a DJ to finish off the night. The band was a total hit and had everyone up dancing,” recalls Jemma. “The whole day was incredible and we were overwhelmed with so much love from everyone,” she adds. “Our toastmaster made the day run like a dream.”
