Stephanie wore the Madi Lane Dior dress in ivory. “This was chosen off-the-peg, so I was able to take it home the same day,” she tells us. “I knew I wanted something with a long train that would fan out beautifully in the church and for the photos – as soon as I tried on this style, I fell in love with it. It looked Grecian with the fabric over the bodice.” Tom wore an ecru-coloured three-piece suit by Antique Rogue at Suit Direct, teamed with a pale blue waistcoat and a champagne-coloured tie. “Our bridesmaids wore pale blue dresses that matched Tom’s waistcoat and the groomsmen’s ties”, Stephanie tells us. “I asked each bridesmaid to pick their favourite style.” Stephanie and Tom’s friend Gabby played the saxophone during the drinks reception. “She compiled a playlist of our favourite songs, some of which were good for dancing,” Stephanie tells us. “As we arrived, she played Lover by Taylor Swift.” The main entertainment for the evening was the Lego guest book. “Everybody could create a mini figure that represented themselves and place it on a pedestal which we designed,” Stephanie says. “My dad made some outdoor games for the kids to play, but it seemed the adults had the most fun with these! We also did the conga with all of our guests, which was one of my favourite moments of our wedding. I thought it would liven things up and it felt amazing seeing the line of 120 guests weaving in and out of the tables!” REAL WEDDINGS 37
