Your Herts and Beds Wedding - August/September 2020 (Issue 81)

BLUSHING BRIDE Shahnnaz Walford says: “Blusher can transform your make-up from dull to radiant. Always remember to apply the correct amount and shade to suit your lipstick and overall make-up tones. Pink lipstick warrants a pink shade and coral shades suit a peachy or nude blush tone. Apply the product on the apples of your cheek gently, build gradually but do not overload the brush with the product as you can end up looking dated. Blend the blush out with a large blender brush with upward strokes.” TRANSFORM YOUR HAIR Emma Horsley says: “When it comes to split ends, here are my top tips and advice on how to help tackle the issue. ❤ Reduce damage by not towel drying your hair; it causes a lot more harm than you think! ❤ Invest in a good hairdryer and round brush. Always use the nozzle to direct the heat properly and always point it down the cuticle. Reduce the heat on your styling tools as well. ❤ After washing your hair, you should be using a comb, not a brush! Brushes are too harsh and cause the hair to stretch then break. ❤ Adapt your shampoo and conditioners, try more moisturising ones and use weekly conditioning treatments – Lucy Bee Coconut oil is my go-to!” www.angelswithdirtyfacesphotography.com ON TREND Shahnnaz Walford says: “Bridal eye make-up has changed so much in the 14 years I have been in the bridal industry. Once it was a natural make-up that was preferred by brides, now you can pretty much get away with most styles of eye make-up from the smokey, cut crease and even a colour block. The trick is to choose a style that suits your eye shape. For a foolproof summery trend, apply a shimmery tone and colour-wash the entire lid. Apply a soft kohl pencil to the outer corner above the eyelid and blend inwards and upwards, this is an easy and soft bridal eye.” www.pre ttyperfectphotography.co.uk www.pre ttyperfectphotography.co.uk 88
