Your Herts and Beds Wedding - August/September 2020 (Issue 81)

All the close males in the family had matching buttonholes, but we let them choose their own suits. My two-year-old wore a Monsoon dress and Skechers light-up shoes, which were a massive hit on the dancefloor. I wore a dress from The Wedding Gallery in St Albans where I live, it was just perfectly suited to me and as soon as I tried it on I knew I wanted it. I accessorised it with one simple diamante clip in my hair and an elbow-length veil – I looked so much better than I ever imagined. We had beautiful three-tiered chocolate, and vanilla sponge cake, which had a white and cream buttercream. So many of my guests said it was the best cake they’d ever had and it was huge! Table names were numbers, and the venue sorted the place names and the table plan. Tim wore full tails in blue, a silver waistcoat and pink tie. He looked very handsome and really stood out.
