Your Herts and Beds Wedding - April/May 2020 (Issue 79)

Danielle’s dad made a crate to display the cake on, which he had spray-painted with our names and the date of our wedding.  Danielle’s auntie created an amazing sweet cart for everyone to enjoy and tuck in to, it was loaded with sweets and included personalised sweet bags for our wedding day. We opted to use Hitchin Executive travel for us both and our bridesmaids in a couple of lovely Mercedes Benz. We also used TKR Travel in Stevenage to transport our wider family members to and from the venue in a minibus. The Priory has a fantastic in-house chef, so we were treated to some delicious food for our wedding breakfast. Canapés were served during the reception drinks, and for the main course, we opted for lamb chump, which was delicious. We ate a gorgeously smooth custard tart for dessert. I wore a simple but elegant dress from David’s Bridal; it was fitted but not too tight as I wanted to eat and drink to my heart’s content. Many people commented on how well our dresses complemented each other even though we had kept them secret!  Danielle wore a beautiful dress. She tried on lots of styles on but quickly found that a Watters Wtoo Locklin dress was perfect. It had a lovely embroidered bodice and light floaty netted skirt with multiple layers! She was also lucky enough to wear her mum’s veil from 30 years ago, which she had kept in pristine condition. I loved being with my family and bridesmaids getting ready and enjoyed twirling around in my stunning dress! Our groomsmen wore navy three-piece suit with pastel pink ties.  REAL WEDDINGS 45 
