Your Herts and Beds Wedding - April/May 2020 (Issue 79)

BLOOMIN’ BEAUTIFUL Flower preservation is a great way to keep treasured flowers forever. At Sophie May Floral, the company has expert knowledge that helps to look after blooms from the moment received. After each flower is dried, a gorgeous design is created and then the bloom is cast in resin. Owner Sophie May says: “As a level-three qualified florist, I’m very confident in creating wedding flowers you ’ ll love; our style is very wild and natural so suits a very rustic look, however, we're happy to do many different styles to suit you.” The business is now offering 10 per cent off of bouquet preservation if couples book their wedding flowers with Sophie May Floral. Please get in touch to claim the discount and quote ‘Your Herts & Beds Wedding magazine’ upon booking.   For more information visit: sophiemayfloral.wordpress.com NEW REVAMP The White Horse has recently had a revamp, which has transformed the pub into the perfect place to enjoy great food and drink. After being taken over by the award-winning Peach Pub Company eight years ago, the team has ensured both the atmosphere and food is always the best it possibly can be. However, after becoming such a popular location, it was time for a change. General manager, Jon Waterhouse says: “The White Horse is a really lovely historic pub that’s full of character and charm, we definitely wanted to keep it that way so our new look has been carefully planned to bring out its best features whilst revitalising the interior and give it a stylish new look. “There are lots of cosy spaces, especially the bar and the eatery beyond, with its wooden rafters and stripped wooden flooring. We’ve restored these and added elegant new furniture, furnishings, lighting and accessories to create a really smart but comfortable space.” The pub is sporting a stylish new look throughout, and some delicious dishes on the new menu created by head chef Dan Kennie. The premises has a lovely private dining room, which is perfect for intimate wedding breakfasts.
