Your Herts & Beds Wedding - Feb/Mar 2020 (Issue 78)

We had corsages and buttonholes in our colour theme and I wore a sunflower wrist corsage. Our day was about celebrating our fathers and the incredible influence they had on each of us. Unfortunately, they couldn’t be with us but we knew they were there in spirit, smiling down on us – we call them our guardian angels. I loved my dress, which was simple, sparkly and floaty! We hired a vintage Morgan for the weekend to create a bit of fun, which turned out to be perfect for Scott who roared down the drive in it – it allowed for great pictures too! Scott wore a grey suit with a contrasting waistcoat, which matched his groomsmen and our fabulous nephew who was our pageboy. Given it was the middle of summer we wanted outfits where the jackets could be removed and the guys would still look fab.  We had our three daughters as bridesmaids in lilac to match the lavender and thistle-theme, they also had heart wands and head dresses. Bella, our adult bridesmaid, wore a long, dusky pink dress.   REAL WEDDINGS 51 
