Your Herts and Beds Wedding - October/November 2026 (Issue 118)

After meeting at the University of Bath, Emily and Aidan spent two years as friends before finally becoming a couple. Thirteen years later, Aidan proposed in the city where their story began, leading to a beautiful spring wedding filled with personal touches and unforgettable moments. SETTING THE SCENE South Farm was the perfect choice, combining rustic countryside charm with elegant, contemporary spaces. The couple styled the venue with a relaxed spring woodland theme using daffodils, white roses, ferns and moss-covered logs. As huge Lord of the Rings fans, they added subtle nods to Middle-earth by naming each table after a location from the books, complete with a themed plant or flower. Guests enjoyed a delicious roast wedding breakfast followed by miniature brownies and blondies before American diner-style evening food kept everyone dancing late into the night. LOOKING THE PART Emily fell in love with a soft, romantic gown featuring a delicate lace bodice flowing into a buttery-soft tulle skirt. “I thought I’d choose something sleek and fitted,” she says. “But as soon as I tried this dress on, I never wanted to take it off.” A dramatic cathedral-length veil completed her bridal look. 34
