A love that FELT LIKE HOME After meeting on a photoshoot and building a friendship that quickly turned into something deeper, Michelle and Joseph said “I do” in a beautiful winter wedding filled with biker spirit, elegance and unforgettable personal touches Michelle and Joseph’s story began in an unexpected setting – a photoshoot where Joseph was the upand-coming photographer and Michelle the biker influencer in front of the camera. What started with a shared Subway in a van quickly grew into a connection that felt effortless and real. Their bond deepened into a relationship where both could be completely themselves, leading Joseph to realise Michelle was the one for him! A heartfelt Christmas Eve proposal in their new home, complete with twinkling lights and a roaring fire, marked the start of their next chapter together. SETTING THE SCENE The couple chose The Barn at Alswick for its warm yet elegant feel. “We never pictured a barn wedding, but it just felt right,” says Michelle. With guests travelling from across the UK, the onsite glamping village made the venue even more special. Their theme combined soft, Cinderella-inspired elegance with a bold biker edge. A palette of purple and black brought a dramatic twist to the rustic setting, while fresh flowers and coordinated décor tied everything together beautifully. As photographers themselves, the couple paid close attention to detail. From bespoke stationery to personalised bikerinspired tarot card place settings, every element reflected their personality. “We wanted our guests to feel part of something unique,” Michelle explains. Guests enjoyed welcome drinks and canapés before a hearty lamb dish, followed by wedding cake for dessert. An open bar and table wine kept the celebrations flowing throughout the day. LOOKING THE PART Michelle wore a Maggie Sottero “Serifina” gown with a dramatic cathedral veil. “The moment I put it on, I felt like a princess,” she says. Joseph complemented her perfectly in a black tuxedo with personalised touches, including Batman cufflinks and themed details that reflected his personality. The bridal party tied everything together, with bridesmaids in Tahiti purple gowns and groomsmen in black tuxedos with matching purple accents. MOMENTS TO TREASURE Entertainment played a huge role in the day, starting with a violinist and gospel choir during the ceremony. One of the most unforgettable moments was the biker escort accompanying the couple to the venue. “It’s hard to explain how incredible it felt,” Michelle shares. Guests were treated to a range of unique experiences, including a tattoo van, cigar bar, live illustrators and surprise singing waiters. The couple’s choreographed first dance, complete with dry ice, seamlessly led into an evening of celebration. Reflecting on the day, Michelle adds, “Seeing everything come together and sharing it with the people we love was just amazing.” REAL WEDDINGS 27
