Your Herts and Beds Wedding - February/March 2024 (Issue 102)

This stunning shoot showcased the stunning bridal jewellery from the talented Sarah Heulwen Lewis Images courtesy of Trish Henderson Photography TOUCHES Sarah Heulwen Lewis at Heulwen Lewis Bespoke has been working on a rebrand over the last year, wanting to show how bespoke pieces are both sentimental and high-end, from remodelling jewellery to new bridal pieces. During this time, she has created a new concept for wedding jewellery that has been on her mind for a while – it needed to come alive! She comments, “I’ve always wanted to capture the story and memories of a bride’s wedding day. It starts with the dress, but why should that end once they have walked down the aisle? I wanted their memories from their day to walk with them every day, to be passed on for future generations and worn with pride. The shoot was to help tell the story and show small details can make all the difference in making your day and gown truly yours. “A wedding is as much a nod to the past as it is about the future; this is the idea behind my latest bridal buttons collection in collaboration with wedding dress designer Lisa Lyons. No one gets to wear their wedding dress twice. But what if you could create wearable, bespoke heirlooms from the buttons that detail your dream gown? Using the style of your dress or significant motifs, I’ll create buttons that capture the memory of your big day, which you can then wear and pass on to future generations. Even if your gown doesn’t have buttons, this custom-made keepsake can be stitched and hidden into your dress. From designing your buttons and wearing them as part of your big day to cherishing them and eventually passing them down to loved ones, these bridal buttons are designed to be personal keepsakes that might walk down the aisle again in years to come.
