They started dating as restrictions subsided and restaurants opened again. They were both attracted to the fact they were hard-working and intelligent while also being caring and compassionate in their work. James proposed to Indula in December 2022. He pretended they were staying in London with family as a pre-Christmas get-together. He had booked a beautiful hotel room directly overlooking the Tower of London and London Bridge. When they got to the room, there were hundreds of rose petals and an aisle of tealights leading towards the beautiful view, where James got down on one knee and popped the question.
