Your Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Wedding- August/September 2020 (Issue 22)

Cheltenham-based jeweller Metal and Stone specialises in creating one-off bespoke pieces within each customer's budget. Jeweller Jeff Lippman explains how custom-made jewellery that fits perfectly often works out more purse-friendly for clients. The real advantage is that the item is unique, just like the couple if it's an engagement or wedding ring. Jeff loves to work with customers, getting a feel for their style and what they like, and creating the perfect piece. He encourages couples to bring in existing pieces of jewellery, like a family heirloom or a sentimental item, and the original stones can be re-set, or the metal refined, for example yellow gold can be melted down and made into a new rose gold item. Jeff's latest work includes this wishbone-shaped wedding ring that can be worn alone and diamond enhancer rings, designed to interlock with the engagement ring to frame and showcase the stone, (shown below). They work best with solitaire styles but can also be worn with multi-stone rings and different shaped stones, for example a marquise diamond. He is also seeing diamond-set wedding rings becoming increasingly popular. 01242 570 570, http://metalandstone.co, www.facebook.com/bespoke.goldsmith Salisbury-based contemporary jeweller Elinor Cambray specialises in handmade pieces using recycled precious metals and ethically sourced gemstones.
