Photography of The Guildhall Salisbury courtesy of www.simonwardphotography.com ❤ We love… the Market and Guildhall square that surrounds the building makes a great photographic backdrop. ❤ We love… that the Edmund Terrace at the rear of the house overlooking the bowling green can be used as a chill-out area and for a festival-vibe to the wedding, mobile food vans such as wood-fired pizza trailers and fish and chip vans can be stationed next to the terrace. This 800-year-old hotel marries historic features with everything you would expect from a modern hotel. Accessed through impressive gates, the picturesque courtyard provides a fantastic backdrop for big-day photographs with its ancient statues and fountains, and a Virginia creeper vine with beautiful foliage covers the entire courtyard. Being just a five-minute walk from Salisbury Cathedral, this iconic building is another photographic backdrop option. Ceremonies take place in the Marlborough Suite, the largest of the function rooms and one of the two rooms which make up the Courtyard Suite. It has its own access from the courtyard making it very private, away from activities in the main hotel. A lovely bright room with natural daylight, it also features its own bar and dancefloor. The Marlborough Suite can seat up to 60 guests for a wedding breakfast. Adjacent to the Marlborough Suite is the Wellington Suite designed to open to the Courtyard Suite if needed creating a large banqueting area for an informal evening function for up to 120 guests.
