L ucy and James met in a café and, after a whirlwind six-month relationship, the couple moved in together and soon became engaged. “James asked me to marry him while we were at home one day,” Lucy tells us. “It was the perfect intimate proposal as he knew I wouldn’t have wanted a big fuss. I knew he was thinking about marriage because he kept guiding me into jewellers while we were out shopping but I didn’t know that he’d already bought the ring and had asked my dad before he asked me.” Here, the couple tell us about their special day at The Slaughters Manor House.
