Your East Midlands Wedding - February/March 2024 (Issue 60)

My parents grew foliage in their allotment, which we used for table centrepieces and chair decorations. The whole family pitched in to create groomsmen’s buttonholes, bridesmaid bouquets and petal confetti using flowers from local florists and supermarkets. We both wanted a fun-filled wedding surrounded by loved ones that was as stress-free as possible. As Jay is Indian, we also wanted a bit of a fusion wedding that incorporated his culture with my dream movie wedding, About Time. My lovely bridesmaids wore sage green pleated dresses while my sister, the maid-of-honour, had a slightly different style. Our menu reflected our favourite dishes and flavours, mixing vegetarian delights with Indian spices! We designed the table plan to match our rustic theme perfectly. We both fell in love with the beautiful Grangefields straight away! 33 REAL WEDDINGS
