Flowers were added to our rustic-style cake, which had lemon and lime flavours. The bridesmaids wore sage green A-line gowns. We hired two traditional wedding cars for transpo rt. Our favour boxes had West Side Story sheet music on and inside were chocolate bars with a picture of us both plus our dog and ATG vouchers. Our place names were playbills of musicals we’d watched in New York or that had a strong importance to us. We had giant light-up letters saying ‘The Bowdens’. REAL WEDDINGS 37
