Your East Midlands Wedding - Page number 34 - August/September 2021 (Issue 45)

We had an outdoor wedding due to Covid-19 restrictions. The legal ceremony took place at a registry office in Rutland and we had a celebrant-led ceremony at Barnsdale Gardens, which consists of 38 individually designed gardens with different themes and characteristics. We had handmade biscuits for favours, which featured our names and the wedding date. Directly after the wedding, six people (including the photographer and celebrant) had afternoon tea in the gardens with a glass or two of champagne. For the main evening dinner, only four people were present due to indoor limitations. Our carrot cake was from a place called Spokes Café, which we visit on a local cycling route. Our reception table had wooden place names, hearts and special champagne glasses. My bouquet included an image of my late father and I had a blue pouch stitched to the dress containing a lock of his hair. 34
