Built-in 1792 and designed by John Johnson, the Grade I listed building still has many of the original features including the Roman Doric columns supporting the porch-way entrance. Ceremonies can occur in three locations: The Ballroom can accommodate 200 people for ceremonies and wedding breakfasts and features high ceilings, grand chandeliers and large windows which beautiful views. The Dining Room is located on the ground floor and has plenty of natural daylight and the bar is conveniently situated next door. This area is perfect for ceremonies for 80 guests, a drinks reception for 100 and a wedding breakfast for 60. The Drawing Room is also located on the ground floor, with beautiful décor it can fit a 60 guests to witness the ‘I dos’ and 35 guests can enjoy the wedding breakfast. Four luxury boutique bedrooms are included, with complimentary continental breakfast, with any wedding booked and couples also benefit from a menu tasting session. Inside, couples will find stylish interiors, impressive architecture and friendly staff. Located in the city centre, the hotel has an impressive 120 parking spaces for any guests travelling in and is only minutes away from the train station. With various spaces to say ‘I do’, couples are spoilt for choice! The Queens Hall is the largest ceremony space that can fit 200 people. The hall is a bright room that’s elegantly decorated in neutral tones to complement any colour scheme. Or why not opt for the stunning Empress Room for 75 people or the Cromwell Room for 60? There are many spaces available for receptions of all sizes. The Kings Hall can accommodate 300 people; the Victorian ballroom includes two striking marble fireplaces and a high ceiling adorned with golden cherubs and classic chandeliers. The Alexandra Room for 50 nearest and dearest can be used as additional space to complement the Kings Hall or as an event space on its own. The Tudor Room can fit 50 people and is a light and airy space that offers fabulous view into the city centre. If couples are looking for a space to add their own special touches, then the Charnwood Room is perfect and can fit up to 80 guests. Alternatively within the hotel is Marcos New York Italian Restaurant, a contemporary-styled restaurant that’s great for a laid-back occasion for 120 people. The Empress Room (max of 40 people), Cromwell Room (60) and Queens Hall (300) can also be used for receptions. After dancing the night away, guests can retreat to one of the 104 bedrooms.
