69 EXPERT ADVICE LOOKING YOUR BEST My hair’s not in good condition at the moment. Can you advise on the best routine to get the shine back ready for our big day? The earlier you can start improving your hair care routine for your wedding the better. Firstly, hair, skin and nail supplements are great for improving locks quality and speeding-up growth but do take a few months to make a noticeable difference. It’s also advisable to use a weekly treatment to help add moisture and protect our manes. Invest in a good moisturising shampoo and conditioner to nourish hair in every wash, and add oil the ends before drying to allow for more moisturise and protection from heat. Moroccan oil does a great range of products to repair locks. Limit heat as much as possible when using a hairdryer, straighteners or tongs. Regular trims are also very important to keep split ends at bay and prevent hair from splitting further up the locks shaft. Even by just having half-an-inch cut off every three months or so will make the world of difference. On the big day, your stylist will be able to use a mix of smoothing and shine products on your hair to help you feel a million dollars! Bronzes and copper eyeshadow tones make blue eyes pop! If you’re looking for something a bit more muted and natural for your big day, consider a soft, warm matte brown eyeshadow, such as the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in taupe, all across the lid for a budge-proof base. Then choose a warm brown or bronze shadow across the crease of your eyelid to add depth and warmth. Grey eyeshadow also works well with blue eyes if you want to try another colour option. Finish the look off with black gel eyeliner and black waterproof mascara.
