Your East Midlands Wedding - April/May 2020 (Issue 37)

We always wanted either a manor house or a barn as our venue and as soon as we saw the pictures of Hazel Gap Barn, we instantly fell in love with it. We had chosen gin bottles instead of vases for the flowers to make the overall look more rustic – our table plan was gin-themed too. Our colour scheme was grey and lilac to match the bridesmaids’ dresses, and blush pink and white. I told the florist what we wanted and she knew straight away what to do. Our cake was blush pink with an white marble effect, while the bottom tier was hexagon shaped. We kept it simple for the table names by using white and gold signs with numbers on. 36
