75 EXPERT ADVICE SAY ‘YES’ TO THE DRESS I’m looking for an elegant dress that’s easy to dance the night away in. What would you suggest?  A boho-inspired dress is a great look to go for if you’re looking for something elegant and easy to move in. Bohemian inspired gowns are usually made using soft lightweight fabrics such as tulle, lace or chiffon, which makes them very easy to wear. They lend themselves to a more relaxed look but still very fitting for the occasion and definitely a style you can dance in! A gown with pretty straps works well, you’d probably want to steer clear of too big a skirt and keep it fairly slim-fitting without too many layers or a big train. This sort of gown means you can put on the dress the morning of your wedding and feel so comfortable you won’t think about your gown all day! This will leave you free to party the night away and enjoy your special day. Using bronzer will warm up and add colour to any complexion whereas contouring can be used strategically to define the cheekbones, forehead, nose and jawline. For bronzing I’d highly recommend Bobbi Brown and Charlotte Tilbury, both have great shades to choose from. For contouring Bobbi Brown has a foundation stick which can be used for cream contour in a darker colour and Anastasia Beverly Hills has some great contour palette too. Vintage-themed weddings doesn’t necessarily mean you have to automatically have hair in victory rolls – although they’re pretty! There are multiple options available to style hair for this theme. Medium to long hair can be put up in a Gibson roll to add shine and fullness – another option is a Hollywood wave, which always looks beautiful. For shorter hair, a smaller version of these two looks can be created or French rolls can be achieved with teasing and added faux hair. Pin curls can be used into any style to give a vintage nod. Almost any vintage accessory, such as a hair comb, birdcage veil or ornamental headpiece, will make your hair match the theme. Gypsophila flowers, also known as baby’s breath, will look amazing and are budget friendly too! The key thing to remember when choosing the hairstyle is involve a dry set (whole head of pin curls) and backcombing. It’s important to not wash your hair on the special day as the hair will be too soft to hold.
