PAPPLEWICK PUMPING STATION 07547 000 020 |  papplewickpumpingstation.org.uk Papplewick Pumping Station is an incredibly ornate venue featuring decorated columns, stained-glass-windows and highly polished brass work. Built between 1882 to 1885, this venue was made in a Gothic revival style and set amongst formally landscaped grounds, a breathtaking example of Victorian engineering. The venue’s grounds feature an ornate cooling pond, a wealth of trees, flowers and varying colours of rhododendrons that give the bride and groom almost endless possibilities for photographs. The engine house porch ensures group photos are perfectly framed and poised. The ceremony takes place on the mezzanine between the historic beam engines that once pumped water out of the ground, making it a very special location for a wedding ceremony with 80 loved ones. Furthermore, there’s a 35m x 14m parterre lawn capable of hosting almost any size of reception marquee couples could hope for with up to 100 guests.   The yurts, which can accommodate the bridal party, and a large log cabin provide the site facilities, which has a clean, rustic countryside feel. The yurts are individually styled, each a natural element such as earth, fire, wind or water. Ceremonies take place outside under the Pergola but if it’s raining the ceremony could take place inside the tipi or marquee. Being an outdoor wedding venue in the UK, having a weather dependent back-up plan is important. The tipi, yurt or marquee of the couple’s choice will need to be rented and organised separately. MEADOW VALE WEDDINGS info@meadowvaleweddings.com  | meadowvaleweddings.com Meadow Vale Weddings is located within an 18-acre meadow that’s essentially a blank canvas to be decorated as desired – a rustic, festival, bohemian or countryside style wedding! The venue showcases a reflective pond, the grassed meadow, rural backdrops and a rustic wooden swing under an oak tree. The venue currently has three yurts, two log cabins and a large pergola on-site with plenty of space to erect a large temporary structure such as tipi’s, Pavillion yurts, sailcloth tents or marquees – great for receptions with up to 120 guests. There’s even space for guest tents to be erected! lincolnshire.blogspot.com martincphotography.co.uk screenphotography.co.uk screenphotography.co.uk LOCAL VENUES screenphotography.co.uk 19
