Your East Midlands Wedding - October/November 2019 (Issue 34)

The dress was  Judith by Watters, bought from the amazing Tilly Trotter’s Brides in Leamington Spa. The owner Sian, has created the most amazing piece of bridal heaven here and was the only dress shop I visited where I felt both special but also completely comfortable. This was the only dress where I felt the best possible version of myself and was so beautiful and simple. It required very little accessorising, a beautiful handmade dried flower vine, simple flower earrings and emerald Dorothy shoes completed my look. The bridesmaids wore the same satin skirt but in a range of colours to reflect the rainbow colour scheme. Wanting them to feel as comfortable as possible, I allowed them to pick their own tops to express some of their sense of identity. Our gorgeous niece Eva served as our flowergirl, wearing a beautiful pink dress with sparkly gold pumps and a flower crown to match our hair vines.  Our photo booth and guest book was also a big hit! We hired an air hockey table, table football and traditional Northamptonshire skittles on the big day. The guests had to be prized away when the hiring company came to collect them at the end of the night. Money well spent! Jo beamed all day, and his parents still poke fun at his massive grin in all of the photos.  I’ve been a bridesmaid to three of my best friends over the years (all of whom returned the favour for me) and each of them had worn Irregular Choice shoes on their big day. It was a tradition I simply had to continue. REAL WEDDINGS 41
