Moving in present Newstead Abbey created an impressive backdrop for Hannah and Joe’s nuptials Images courtesy of Kathryn Edwards Photography H annah and Joe met at a mutual friend’s gig that Joe was organising in Nottingham. “Our friend introduced us after the show and we just clicked straight away,” says Hannah. “He walked me to the bus stop because I was new to Nottingham and didn’t know where I was going. We then started messaging each other and met up a couple of weeks later.” The rest, as they say, is history as they’ve been together ever since. “Joe proposed in our new house on the day we’d been given the keys. It was our first home that we’d bought together so it was very significant,” she says. “He pretended that the previous owners had left something in the wardrobe and when I picked it up I realised that it was a ring box – it was a lovely surprise!” Here Hannah tells us more about their day… Hannah Boyce, 28, married Joe Caithness, 32, at Newstead Abbey, on 12 th May, 2018. 49 REAL WEDDINGS
