REAL WEDDINGS 33  party wore gypsophila in their hair. I also had pictures of my nan Betty, granddad Thomas and nana Edna in a little locket attached to my bouquet, which was with me all day,” she says. Natasha’s dog, Lady, is a huge part of her life so she had to be part of their day. “I had a collar made of flowers that matched my bouquet and she was walked down the aisle by my step-father as part of the bridal party. She had the rings in a lace pouch on her lead, which the best man took during the ceremony – my very own ring bearer,” she says. A black BMW was the transport of choice for Natasha and her dad, while Rob’s friend drove the newlyweds to the reception in a white Maserati Levante. MAGICAL SURROUNDINGS The stylish look continued throughout the décor. For the centrepieces, jars decorated with ribbon and vintage lace, tea lights and bottles brimming with flowers stood on wood tree stumps. The marquee was dressed with wooded trees with fairylights on them and there was a stunning flower wall for guests to have pictures in front of. Place settings sat in little tree stumps and the table names were places that Natasha and Rob have visited together that have a special meaning to them. For the table plan, grey cards were mounted to a large gold mirror that was dressed with flowers and moss and the venue was lit up with old gin bottles and glass jars containing fairylights. “As the sun set, this looked so magical. The tea light holders also doubled-up as favours for our evening guests to take home with them,” says Natasha. Instead of a traditional guest book, friends and family were asked to write a note and place it in one of five bottles. “The plan is that we’re going to open one on our anniversaries for the next five years,” she says. For the favours, the ladies had a small box of Natasha’s favourite Ferrero Rocher chocolates and the men had a keepsake key, which doubled as a bottle opener with a thank you note hanging on each one. CHILLED VIBES The three-tiered cake was finished with a posy on the top tier and stood on a tree stump that had a love heart carved in the bark and a metal heart containing the duo’s initials that sat in the stump. Guests enjoyed the lemon drizzle, chocolate and vanilla sponges and, as if that wasn’t enough, they tucked into a sweet cart after the wedding breakfast. Entertainment was thought of for every part of the day. Violinists played at the church and a saxophonist performed on the terrace at the reception as guests arrived and while Natasha and Rob were having photos. A four-piece acoustic band played a short set and the first dance song, a local DJ continued the music into the night and sparklers created the perfect finale and photo opportunity once the sun had gone down. “We wanted to create a chilled party atmosphere and it all went together seamlessly,” says Natasha. “I was quite nervous until I’d said our vows and then I relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed our day with all of our amazing friends and family.”
