75 REGIONAL SHOOT Retro meets urban in this boho-inspired shoot ’70s vibes W ith a love of all things vintage, Ruby Adds of Love Birds, Weddings and Events couldn’t wait to get together with a team of local suppliers to create her dream look. “I find the 1970s a really exciting era,” she says. “I wanted to bring my own take on it by mixing the hippy and urban looks to create a funky boho vibe.” Ruby brought together 1970s styling, music and fashion and added a selection of macramé and original retro crockery for the finishing touches. FEMININE CHIC The bridal look was edgy yet feminine with flattering and sensual lines, and the groom’s tweed outfit complemented that. “I wanted to create a style that’d draw upon the romantic Arthurian and Celtic style that resurged during the ’70s,” says Ruby. The collection at Caroline Chamberlain Couture is very much inspired by vintage style and decades gone by. Her bespoke design for this shoot of culottes in a drape ivory satin with a guipure lace top worked beautifully. A mixture of braids and curls created texture in the bride’s hair and were used for height to make the look more styled for a contemporary bride. For the make-up, copper tones were used on the eyes with bronze liner and flutter lashes. “I was absolutely delighted with the look of the bride and groom – it was just how I’d imagined,” Ruby adds. 
