Upon arrival the friendly Ragdale Hall team greeted us. Many of them were wearing long service badges with pride, and their passion for what they do was obvious to see. They showed us around the facilities and we already felt that we were in good hands. We headed straight to the Thermal Spa where we spent most of the day enjoying the 12 heat and water experiences. My favourite was the Candle Pool – a mosaic cavern lit by the flicker of candles and a star- lit ceiling – wow! Our trip wouldn’t have been complete without a trip to the Rooftop Infinity Pool and Lounge. This multimillion-pound development is the newest area at the spa. We took in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside while relaxing on the pool’s recliner.   There’s a huge treatment menu that I just had to sample. I enjoyed a Tension Relief Scalp Massage and with our visit being in the run up to the festive period, it was much needed! Our delicious lunch was served in the Dining Room and it consisted of a hot and cold buffet that was bursting with fresh salad combos along with a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. We then went to kick back and get cosy in our robes for the afternoon in The Pavillion with its sofas, garden view loungers and contemporary artwork and glassware – the ultimate chill-out zone! For those wanting a slightly more energetic day, there’s an extensive programme of pool-based and outdoor activities on offer as well as the state-of-the-art fitness studio. We left feeling totally relaxed and we’re already planning our return trip – this time with an overnight option for the ultimate pamper break.
