Your East Anglian Wedding - December/January 2025/2026 (Issue 76)

To keep their guests fuelled, Lucy and Graham served canapés, Prosecco, and Pimm’s for the welcome drinks, followed by a traditional wedding breakfast of soup or prawn cocktail to start, chicken or nut roast for the main, and strawberry cheesecake for dessert – delicious. Lucy adds, “In the evening, we had a traditional 80s buffet, including cheese and pineapple hedgehogs!” Lucy wore a Cizzy Bridal gown paired with a fingertip veil from What Alice Wore. When it came to knowing the dress was the one, Lucy recalls that it was exactly what she had always imagined – along with her mum and sister’s speechless expressions sealing the deal. Graham wore a navy morning suit with a grey waistcoat and pink tie from Waterers. The groomsmen matched Graham, while the bridesmaids wore floor-length pink chiffon dresses. The “dog-of-honour,” Ruby, wore a white bow on her harness and a personalised bandana from Dogs Trust. The entertainment for the day began with a classic red London bus to transport the guests, continued with an impressive sax-clarinet performance, and finished with singing waiters who surprised everyone with a show after the speeches. Lucy and Graham saw the night in with a DJ who kept guests dancing well into the evening. A moment that stood out for the couple was seeing Ruby being walked down the aisle carrying their wedding rings. Another highlight was the singing waiters, who had everyone on their feet and set the tone for the rest of the night. Lucy’s pearl of wisdom for upcoming couples is: “Give yourself plenty of time to plan everything, and don’t stress too much; everything will work out perfectly on the day!” 34
