Your East Anglian Wedding - December/January 2025/2026 (Issue 76)

BEAUTIFUL Bright and Chloe and Justin’s wedding was full of colour and sentimental details Images courtesy of Helen Kirkman Photography Chloe and Justin met at work and became friends while working together, but it wasn’t until a few months after Chloe changed departments that their relationship turned into something more. Justin popped the question while they were on holiday in Barcelona, Spain. Chloe explains, “Justin had planned a surprise trip to the top of Montjuïc Castle via cable car and proposed to me while we were overlooking the city. We then went for dinner at a beautiful restaurant called El Xalet de Montjuïc, with equally stunning views.” Their wedding was set for June 2025, with The Crown at Woodbridge setting the scene for the reception. The ceremony took place at Shire Hall, just a short walk from The Crown at Woodbridge, making it the perfect location. Chloe and Justin wanted a wedding that felt intimate and personal – which is why they chose The Crown at Woodbridge. Chloe adds, “We fell in love with The Crown at Woodbridge, as it had 10 bedrooms that we could offer to those travelling from afar, and we loved the chic, modern feel, with the quirky feature of the rowing boat hanging above the bar.” Keeping in line with the venue’s clean and modern style, Chloe and Justin opted for a bright wedding with lots of sentimental details. Orange is Chloe’s favourite colour, so they paired it with pink to create their dream theme. Chloe’s dress had a bow detail at the back –a motif they echoed on the tables with bow place names on the wine glasses. Justin’s mum, a florist, had free rein on the floral arrangements, all in keeping with the chosen colours. Chloe’s engagement and wedding rings are rose gold, so this accent was carried through to the table décor, including the candlestick holders and biscuit favours. The couple opted for a pub-style menu with wine for the tables. For the evening food, they chose a cheese-board-style grazing table, and to finish, The Crown at Woodbridge tailored cocktails to suit their tastes. Chloe wore a Justin Alexander dress paired with a veil from Lace & Favour, shoes from The Perfect Bridal Company, jewellery from Lily and Roo, and her chosen scent was YSL Libre Intense – an impressive bridal look indeed! Justin wore a suit from The Groom’s Room, pairing a cream waistcoat and jacket with black trousers, a tie, and a pocket square. They kept the bridal party intimate with just Justin’s daughter as the flowergirl, who wore an ivory dress from Monsoon. The happy couple made the most of the stunning weather, hosting their guests on the venue’s decking for drinks and music. They chose to do the speeches before the meal to keep guests entertained, then saw the night in with a band and a 360 video booth. For many couples, certain moments leave a lasting impact. For Chloe and Justin, it was seeing each other for the first time as Chloe walked down the aisle, along with the time they spent alone within the grounds of the Woodbridge Yacht Club and walking around the town for their couple photos. Chloe adds, “Our photographer pre-arranged access to the yacht club, which was such a great thought!” Chloe’s pearls of wisdom for upcoming couples are to focus on what you and your partner want – and to plan bouquet preservation, a detail easily forgotten but worth the extra effort.
