Your East Anglian Wedding - June/July 2025 (Issue 73)

We were looking for a venue near the beach and we always walk our dogs at old Hunstanton beach, so Caley Hall Hotel was a perfect choice. It was spacious, light and the staff were so attentive we couldn’t resist. Our table names were the most important places to us including the village we live in. These were made from all the prosecco we had drunk as a couple, and with friends and family, since we got engaged – ours on the top table were from the accommodation we stayed at when we got engaged in Wales. I wanted a beach hut-shaped card box, which David built and I decorated. Our order of the day was on a larger version of the table plan surfboard, which David also made! We decided to do two favours, one to represent each of us. We bought mini bottles and filled these with David’s favourite rum, Old J spiced rum, while Georgia’s sister, Tessa, made personalised iced biscuits to represent Georgia’s love for baking. I had a vision of a miniature surfboard for the table plan, which David executed perfectly. This had mini pegs with the table plan attached and oyster shell decorations. 34
