Your East Anglian Wedding - June/July 2025 (Issue 73)

KIMBERLEY HALL 07785 732 164 | www.kimberleyhall.co.uk Kimberley Hall is a romantic Queen Anne house built in 1712 in the River Tiffey Valley. It offers breathtaking views of a vast lake, ancient oaks and private parkland designed by the nation’s famous landscape designer, Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. The house is distinguished by a classical red brick façade, wings, curved colonnades and a multitude of architectural features that provide it with a unique character externally and internally. Be it a large-scale wedding or an intimate celebration, you will benefit from a friendly and experienced in-house team of wedding planners, a choice of caterers, food and wine to suit all budgets, flexible packages and ample accommodation for 40 guests in the main house or cottages on the estate (one is wheelchair accessible). These include four-poster beds and a Drummond’s double shower in the bridal suite, which has a raised bath to enjoy the spectacular views of the lake and charming, ancient landscape. The Music Room, where the wedding ceremony traditionally takes place, is a light and elegant space with exquisite plasterwork that connects to the terraced garden via a spiral staircase capped with a coffered dome. The garden can additionally be accessed via a hexagonal room that links to the stylish West Wing entertainment space with its festive lighting and giant mirror ball past the curved colonnade and illuminated bar. Alternatively, your ceremony may take place on the terraced garden lawn facing the lake. Multiple options exist for the reception both inside – making use of Kimberley’s variety of sequential rooms, which are perfect for all-seasons’ gatherings – and outside amidst the yew trees in the terraced garden. If your wedding party exceeds the maximum capacity of the West Wing, a marquee can be hired to enjoy the spectacular views and additional accommodation can be set up with bell tent glamping in the beautiful walled gardens. New for 2025 is Kimberley Hall’s underground nightclub with vaulted ceilings and a late licence to go beyond midnight! BRESSINGHAM HALL AND BARN 01379 688 108 | https://bressinghamhall.co.uk The barn blends historic charm with modern comfort – flint walls, timber beams, soaring ceilings, underfloor heating, and beautiful lighting. It seats up to 120 guests, with a marquee extending capacity to 150. Flexible table options, a licensed bar, catering kitchen, and superb acoustics make it a warm, stylish space for unforgettable weddings, celebrations, and events. Guests can enjoy a private, beautifully planted courtyard – perfect for welcome drinks or relaxing breaks. In warmer months, stretch tents in the Oak Glade and shaded lawn behind the barn provide open-air celebration space. A private car park ensures easy guest access, adding convenience to the venue’s relaxed, countryside charm. Bressingham’s gardens are a hidden gem – lush, peaceful, and bursting with colour. Explore Foggy Bottom’s wild charm or the Dell’s vibrant borders. These award-winning gardens offer an ever-changing backdrop of beauty; perfect for ceremonies, photos, or quiet moments. Whether you’re a plant lover or dreamer, it’s a fantastic setting for weddings. Indoors, the High Barn – with oak beams and rustic elegance – hosts ceremonies for up to 120 guests. Outdoors, vows can be exchanged in the gardens or meadows, surrounded by flowers and nature’s beauty. Both settings offer personalisation, music, and stunning backdrops. Wedding breakfasts are held in the elegant marquee (up to 150), the High Barn for intimate gatherings, or the Georgian dining room for elopements. In warmer months, receptions can unfold under the stretch tent in the gardens. Each space is beautiful, flexible, and perfect for creating a day that reflects your style. Larger receptions follow in the marquee for up to 200, ensuring a seamless celebration. When tying the knot here, couples love the world-renowned gardens – an ever-changing, colourful backdrop for photos and memories. Another highlight is the vintage carousel, a charming and playful addition that delights guests of all ages and adds something truly unique to your wedding day. Couples can enjoy a complimentary food tasting (typically six months before the big day). 24
