Spotlight on...  Wedding venues in Peterborough and Huntingdon Built in 1745, the beautifully restored Grade II* listed Georgian Town Hall is situated in the heart of Huntingdon on the historic Market Square. The building features authentic Georgian sash windows, and a first-floor balcony surrounded with floral displays in the summer – perfect for wedding photos! As a former courthouse, the town hall is full of character and original features. It boasts two renovated courtrooms providing a unique and intimate setting for ceremonies and can accommodate up to 60 people. For larger ceremonies and receptions, the Assembly Hall on the second floor is a grand ballroom with space for up to 120 guests. Complete with three fine crystal chandeliers and portraits on the walls, it’s an elegant big-day setting. Formerly the Tea Room, the Council Chamber can host a maximum of 75 loved ones and its most prominent feature is the Mayoral Board, which records the names of all the town’s mayors since 1729. The venue can cater for receptions with up to 150 family and friends across the two larger rooms and the courtrooms are also available for more intimate parties.
