Your East Anglian Wedding - December 2020/Janaury 2021 (Issue 46)

I kept my accessories really simple. Antora made me a veil out of some of the fabric from my dress and I wore a small sparkly hair vine. We picked the flowers from Cary’s flower stall on Norwich market and my godmother Fran arranged them. She also styled our tables and made a gorgeous floral backdrop for the ceremony. My six adult bridesmaids wore mix-and-match dresses, all high-street brands in varying shades of blue to suit their shape, size and hair colour. Rather than have readings at the ceremony everyone sang 500 Miles by the Proclaimers and It Must Be Love by Madness. Tom’s singing teacher played the piano throughout and one of my bridesmaids Emily performed Can’t Help Falling In Love as we signed the register. I loved the beaded material of my dress and the shape and style felt very ‘me’. I took it to the wonderful ladies at Antora in Wymondham who managed to alter it to look exactly how I wanted. I had four junior bridesmaids and the two youngest walked Tom’s parents’ dogs down the aisle with them! There’s so much space at Waxham Barn we knew we wouldn’t have to limit our guest list and as it’s a dry-hire venue, we were free to choose exactly what we wanted. To go with the rustic look, we hired wooden trestle tables and benches and borrowed some hay bales for extra ceremony seating. 36
