Your East Anglian Wedding - August/September 2020 (Issue 44)

77 EXPERT ADVICE Hair and make-up Q&A Switching your bridal look to suit the season BOHO VIBES We’ve rescheduled our al fresco spring wedding to October this year and I’m having to rethink my boho look for something more suitable for an indoor wedding. What would you suggest? Sharron says: You don’t have to abandon the boho look, if that’s what you love just adapt it to suit the time of year. You can still have flowers in your hair but look for seasonal blooms in autumnal shades which you can incorporate into your colour scheme. Hair can look lovely either up or down with flowers. I was originally planning to have light natural make-up with soft pastel colours but might go for something more dramatic and striking now as we’ll be spending more time indoors. What do you think? Victoria says: It’s a definite yes from me, I love the rich warm colours that go with an autumn/winter wedding. The lighting will be very different, much more shadow and drama so your make-up can absolutely reflect the seasonal change of your big day. You’ll want something more defined and striking; maybe go for a statement lip using rich berry or deep red tones – don’t worry, there’s a red lipstick to suit everyone! If not the lips, there are some striking eye colour options; beautiful golden and chocolate browns, burnt orange, burgundy and rich vibrant shades to choose from. As your celebration will have more of an evening feel you’ll want your make-up to reflect this and not get lost as the nights are darker and longer. VICTORIA RECOMMENDS: Caramel Melange by Zoeva; a great autumnal eyeshadow palette. Victoria Bradfield | Make-up artist | www.victoriabradfield.co.uk
