Glorious GARDENS  Local venues with al fresco appeal KIMBERLEY HALL, WYMONDHAM 01603 759 447 | www.kimberleyhall.co.uk You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing where to pose for great photos at this wedding hotspot. Set in idyllic parkland, with ancient oak and lime trees, it’s a photographer’s dream. Built in 1712 on the hill of Downham, the Queen Anne-style house offers breathtaking views of the lake and private park, designed by the most celebrated landscape architect of the time Capability Brown. The formal garden has sweeping views past grazing horses and cattle down to the 20-acre lake, home to swans and a whole variety of birdlife. You can tie the knot in the light and elegant Music Room with its grand pianos, chandelier, fireplace and huge arched window looking on to the garden. There’s capacity for up to 130 loved ones and the room connects to the garden via an impressive spiral staircase complete with a cascade of hanging butterflies; great for bridal and just-wed shots. The terraced garden looking towards the lake can also be used for outdoor ceremonies and with a marquee for the wedding breakfast and reception, there’s plenty of space if you’re planning on inviting a crowd. The West Wing with its state-of-the-art illuminated bar is a great place to dine and dance and at the end of the night, there’s accommodation available for up to 18 people including a self- catering flat and a romantic bridal suite with spectacular views of the lake. We love... the huge walled garden with six bell tents, or more if needed; perfect for glamping. REGIONAL VENUES 23
