Nestled in the grounds of a private country estate, your guests are sure to be impressed as they approach via the long sweeping driveway through Suffolk parkland to catch their first glimpse of the building. Surrounded by lovely landscaped gardens, there’s no shortage of fabulous photo opportunities. The ceremony room can accommodate 100 guests and has a number of special features including hand-crafted ceremony tables with a choice of backdrops, voile roof swags and fairylights. Celebrate afterwards in the main barn with up to 120 loved one for the wedding breakfast and twice as many for the evening party. You can also make use of the ceremony room as a chill-out zone, children’s play area or for a photo booth. The perfect place to party, there’s a stage for discos or live music, a built-in bar, as well as two outside seating areas, with a firepit available in the winter to keep you toasty. There’s plenty of space on the lawns for garden games and croquet too during the summer. We love... the large Victorian farmhouse on site. Available for hire on a two-night, self-catering basis, it can sleep around 10 people with plenty of room to relax and unwind before and after the wedding. Perched on the village’s highest point, the gabled Elizabethan barn is surrounded by fields next to Copdock parish church and the venue’s own vineyard. Walk through the oak doors, into the red-bricked building and you can’t help but be wowed by the stunning interior beneath the oak- timbered roof. Sensitively renovated, the Grade II venue marries the old with the new boasting a modern zoned sound system, underfloor heating, moveable bar and wooden dancefloor surrounded by eyelet windows that allow the light to stream through. One of the last all-brick tithe barns in Suffolk, when it’s lit up at night Copdock Hall provides a beautiful illuminated backdrop for the historic building. Most ceremonies are held inside the barn, usually at the south end but they can also take place outside in the gravel courtyard. Celebrate afterwards with a reception in the main body of the barn and spill out on to the courtyard and lawns when the weather’s fine. Great for those with a bumper guest list, there’s room for up to 200 loved ones for the wedding breakfast and 300 plus for the reception.
