Your East Anglian Wedding - Feb/Mar 2020 (Issue 41)

55 PHOTO SHOOT J udging by the reaction to the front cover of our ruby anniversary edition, there’s plenty of love for an alternative, edgy bridal look. Shot at Suffolk woodland wedding venue Forest Lodge Weddings, we ran one of the bridal images on the cover as a teaser to whet your appetite for what’s to come. Now you can enjoy the whole inspirational shoot in all its glory. A fusion of the wild and beautiful with the dark and elegant, it bucks convention to offer something a bit different. Taking inspiration from textured 70’s retro, rich and earthy details with an air of boho-Gothic chic, the result is a vibrant mix of rich florals, outdoor living, tipis, macramé, firepits, atmospheric woodland, sumptuous details and stunning bridalwear. The expert behind the lens Norfolk-based photographer Liz Bishop says, “I think there’s a marked movement in couples looking beyond the norm, breaking away from convention and tradition, to create their own personalised wedding celebrations. In particular we're seeing more outdoor weddings, alternative brides, colourful cakes and wild florals."
